I'm spending it on the things I should have been spending it on all along... but did without just to buy the damn wine! My bills are now getting paid on time! Fancy that! And I'm able to afford what I need for my dogs.... all this and no morning headache!

When I got into recovery, all that 'money' that I used to spend on booze and drugs started going towards ALL the people and credit cards I OWED. It helped me to make my 'financial amends'.

I did finally buy myself an external hard drive, though, as well as some shirts and a pair of Chucks. My first "look at all the money I'm not spending on booze" gift to myself was a Nintendo DS. I'm trying to save more now, as well.
