I first tried to get clean and sober in 2005. I have been sober 2 times for about 9 months each during that time. My Dr prescrbed me Camprel which I started today....and with meetings and a therapist I can stay sober one day at a time. My plan might not work for you but just going to meetings doesnt work for me...I have to find out about me...and learn to love myself..butI know I can only do that sober.

I feel the same way as you my first priority is to stay sober.
I am just gaining confidence in that now and am starting to fiind about about me and what I have to change to remain sober.
I have never gone 9 months so good on you for that.

And, yes you are absolutely right about having to do work on yourself. I didn't like anything about me when I began to recover, so it was a long road. Just know that we do understand, and that you can do this.
