Spring is Almost Here

Hey yall - Just wanted to say that as springtime is almost here, it's back to a WHOLE lotta work here on our farm and with the horses, so I am probably not going to be around much, but I will check in on pm's and visitor messages as much as I can.

I will keep you all in my prayers and I hope my good friends here will keep in touch with messages.

Love, Jomey

There is something about this upcoming spring that I'm really excited about and that has to do with my new found sobriety. Through this past fall and this winter, I have done the work in my life that was needed and with both the springtime and my sobriety set to be in full bloom, I just can't wait. Spring represents new life and I feel exactly like that for the first time in a long time.

First Things First is one of those
saying we hear many times in
meetings. I love experiencing
lots of things today especially
now that im sober.

The colors of the different
seasons as they change....
Spring with new life...new
growth in grass, flowers....

Baby birds, farm animals....

Fresh air, rain,rainbows.....

I also have to remember that
I cant enjoy the gifts and joys
of life if i dont stay sober.

One drink makes everything
dull, dark, depressing.

So each day Im ask please help
me stay sober and at night, thank
you for keeping me sober.

If i dont drink today then i have
a better chance of enjoying
another beautiful day doing
whatever comes next.....

Even yard work...lol

Sobriety first then u will
continue to reap the rewards.
The promises as stated in
the Big Book.

Thanks for letting me share.

That is very cool! I am really happy you shared that with me....I will try to think about that while I am spreading the....umm....rest of the...umm...."natural fertilizer" today!! LOL

Thanks for all the good wishes guys - except smarty-pants Dee of course! - and I will look forward to hearing from you all!

We got our new lambs and the kids named them all after characters in the movie "Napoleon Dynamite". Imagine the fun of chasing them into the barn at night yelling at "Uncle Rico" to get into his stall, etc!
