Low sugar low salt diet

Well I got a little while sober under my belt so it is time to get healthy again.

Come Monday I am going on my old low sugar-low salt diet.
This means
no candy wah
no cookies wah
no soda pop wah
no coffee with sugar wah
no brownies (sorry Massey)
no boxes of chocolates
no chips
no pretzels
no salt shaker

Only sugars I have are from fruits

This may be even harder than not drinking so wish me luck.

When I get my BMI below 25 again I may treat myself to one of the above.

That sounds like a tough plan to follow, Fub.

I hope it goes well.

I wish you loads of luck in this endeavor Fubar. If you were strong enough to get and stay sober I'm sure you can find what you need to help you through this. And I hope it works out very well for you. It wouldn't hurt me to go on a diet myself...I'm a 5'3, 151lb guy...tsk tsk. I really do need to get in shape myself. lol Well, good luck!

Gee Whiz!!!

I'd be freakin' out, especially if I couldn't have my Chocolate!!! A woman's best friend, at least one of mine!

Are you sure that you have to go to these extremes? Seriously?

Well it is only temporary. I have an ideal weight and I only have to lose 5 pounds so when I do I can have the occasional treat maybe once or twice a week. It will probably only take a month if I stick it out then I can pig out again.

My belief is workout hard then eat what you want, with discretion and not pigging out totally! 5 pounds... I bet it won't take you a month, Fub. Do you exercise?

I do about 2 hours a day 5 days a week at the gym. I eat what I want but the sugars are always bad but I love them. Coffee is the worst because I like 3-4 spoons of sugar and when I have chocolates I usually eat the whole box. If I have chips ,which is rarely I eat the whole bag. The exercise just breaks me even.
I never gained weight while drinking because I usually didn't feel like drinking the off days.

I do eat healthy. The unhealthy stuff I eat is the stuff on the list.
I eat according to the Canada food guide. 5 vegies, 3 fruits, etc.

My humble THANKS Fubar...I am abiding the Cdn Food Guide as well since I quit...It has been very useful to me. I think been so focused on a new healthy way of eating has really been a positive in my sobriety...I am really enjoying making new things (well, I have always) but when I was so BUSY DRINKING I SO didn't have time ?! Arrrrrrrrghh to cook! Too busy gettin' drunk

Well, I wish you all the very BEST Fubar...Pancake x
