It is what it is...
It is what it is...
It seems like I keep seeing that in a ton of posts here.
I have a friend named Rhode. He is 100%, through and through, rides in the snow, rain and hail, honest to God Biker. He is about 5'4" tall with a little beer belly, a long thinning braid and a beard to match. He has the bluest eyes that are always watery from laughing so hard and he kind of looks like a little yard gnome. When I can't find Rhode somewhere I listen. He has the BIGGEST, most distinct, loud laugh there is. I LOVE him.
He is nothing but positive energy. I could go on and on about him but you'll have to take my word that this man is awesome. We have been great friends for several years.
He's never negative. He's had his hard times in life. I don't know what was said one night, but someone was complaining and expecting Rhode to really sympathize and be angry as they were and all he said was "It is what it is".. shrugged his shoulders, laughed his big laugh and walked away.
I thought, how silly is it that such a simple statement is so profound. So I put it on here with my name and now I see it is spreading.
Acceptance, it is what it is, it feels good.
Thanks my little Rhode!!

Absolutely! I have gone on a lot of long walks in my life. Part of the fun and challenge is overcoming the obstacles that you encounter along the way to get to where you are headed.
Why sometimes in life I spend all my energy analyzing the obstacle and never get around to overcoming it?
I've got to accept the obstacles and move to the next step. It is what it is.
Thank you for reminding me of that today!!
