Hello keeping on track
Hello I'm a 19 year old University student. I drink quite a bit cause of being in university, but I find myself drinking every night to shake off bad feelings and to calm myself. I'm still young and all my friends drink all the time too, but I want to make sure that I'm not sterring off track. eVen while typing this I am considerably drunk. Any input would be helpful.
Hi there SCB,
It's a bright and beautiful morning and I hope that you've slept it off.
This jumped out at me: This was my m.o. in my 25+ year drinking career. I can only offer my experience and that is the fact that it will get oh so worse. The alcohol will mess with your brain chemistry and mimic the 'feel good' endorphins until you'll need it just to feel 'normal.'
Get help now. It's not worth it, my friend. I'd advise seeing your doctor and, if necessary, a psychiatrist or counselor. You'll save yourself a lot of grief.
