My first Grandbaby!
My first Grandbaby!
Was born this morning at 7:20, weighing in at 7 lbs 8 oz. He and mom are both doing great.
He was supposed to be born on my 44 birthday July 25, but arrived a bit early.
We will be headed to Florida to meet him the first part of August. I'm so excited.

It's so exciting, isn't it? It's so neat to see the new person your kids produce! I like seeing my kid, or kid-in-law, interacting with their new baby. It takes me back to when my first child was born!
hugs and love to your new grand baby!!:ghug3

That is soooo wonderful! Congratulations Grandma!
I was just reading an old issue of The Grapevine yesterday. It was all about "Raising Kids in Sobriety". (Feb 2006)
February 2006 issue
The stories made me cry. The children and grandchildren of sober parents are the lucky in that they are given clear-headed parents, and and if those parents use the tools of recovery...then the gifts are tripled!
And for us clean and sober parents...we get the gift of being there when they need us. And REALLY be a part of thier lives.

That's fantastic Suzette, congratulations! I'll have to show this post to my GF, she recently became a grandmother at 44 too. Maybe she won't feel so old knowing there are others like you out there!
