This sounds v needy but...what the *&^%...I need hugs and support.
My dad died 2 years ago today (4 July) and I want to make him proud - A day 1 which will be followed by days 2,3, 4 etc. Can't think of a better tribute.

Loved ones don't pass away...they walk beside us every day
A hug for you.
A good friend told me this a few weeks ago. She said instead of putting flowers at the cemetery on the aniversy of passing. Do do it on a birthday or other happy time. To celebrate their life instead of their death.
I just thought this was a very good idea and thought I would share with you.

Huge Hugs for you. I am so very sorry. I lost me Dad very unexpectedly in March.
On Father's Day I did two things.
#1 I wrote notes to my Dad and went to a party store and had them put the notes inside of balloons and I went to a peaceful spot and let the balloons go and deliver the messages to heaven
#2 I planted a tree in my yard in memory of my Dad. This gives me a place to go and think of him and talk to him. He was cremated so now I have a grieving spot.
If your Day #1 will be today, I think that is a wonderful tribute to him!

Sorry I can't give you a fancy photo-not that savvy on my puter yet!
In the short time I've been here on SR, you have been a great presence and wonderful support.
You are in my thoughts today!

Sending you lots and lots of hugs.
My mom died 17 years ago last month, but I will be going to put flowers on her grave next week for her birthday...something bright and cheery...just like she was.
The pain doesn't go away, but we get to a point where he have many more times of good memories, than the pain.
Hugs and prayers!
