Still Here!

Hey all;
I thought I'd post a thread to say hello to all. I've been at the cottage most of the time since May which is why I haven't been around. We don't have internet access up there yet, and when I do come home, I am busy catching up on all the daily things I neglect while away at the cottage.
Anyways, just wanted to say hello to everyone. I am doing well, almost 6 months pregnant now and feeling MUCH better. And my little baby girl is doing great, she is almost 11 months and on the go! Very busy baby! I love it.
I still struggle with my sobriety. Mostly because I crave beer. I craved it during my last pregnancy too. I wake up in the middle of the night craving it. I broke down and had a non-alcoholic beer a week ago which did the trick. It totally satisfied my craving. The craving was for the taste of beer so the non-beer beer worked. HOWEVER.....I am working hard on not repeating that as I believe the non-alcoholic drinks are very dangerous. AND I've been thinking about drinking when the new baby is born....but again....I'm working on that each day....just one day at a time. This pregnancy has kept me sober, but I'm so worried about once the baby is born. I keep reminding myself of how I DON'T want to be again. How I don't want to drink while raising my children. Again, I'm just taking it one day at a time.
I hope all is well with everyone. We are into full-blown summer here in Ontario and it is HOT! Thank God for central air!
I'll try not to stay away so long next time.
Tay.

TAY!!!!! I've been thinking of you! Sounds like you're doing well. Definately don't fall back once the baby's born. You proved you could do it before becoming pregnant, I know you can stay sober after the baby is born.

((Tay))))

So glad you checked in!!! Remember...just because you want a beer, doesn't mean you have to have one...now, or after the baby's born. It sounds too darn simple to work, but it does...somethings we want, we just can't have.

Hugs and prayers!

Amy

Glad to see you back Tay and sober to boot!!!!

You know there is an answer that I found that worked for me in regards to that obsessive desire for a drink, it took honesty, self reflection, and action, but to loose that damn obsession made it well worth it.

Are you working any kind of program? Programs can help eradicate the obsession.
