Hi everyone,

In order to visit with my sister at her treatment facility, my mom and I need to attend 2 Ala-non meetings. The Nar-anon meetings we attend on Saturday are not accepted. Not sure why not?? Any ideas? My mom left me a message with this info. hoping we can go to another meeting tomorrow. No reason was given as to why it has to be Ala-non.

My sister's drug is meth so I feel very comfortable at my Naranon meetings!
Not sure how different the Ala-non ones will be.

I'd call and double check that. It does seem odd, but if it's true then it shouldn't be too hard to find a couple of Alanon meetings to attend. Maybe it will be an experience you might have missed without the restriction, we never know.

I think it's great that you are going to meetings, each one will bring you a special gift.

Mom and I double checked it and only Alanon meetings are accepted. Since my last relationship was with an alcoholic, maybe I'm meant to work through a few more things.

I'm off tomorrow for President's day holiday, so mom and I are going to a morning meeting, then lunch after.

There is a message to be received wherever I go and new people to meet.
I do enjoy the meeting topics and readings.
