Movie Club Against Depression Part 2
Movie Club Against Depression Part 2
Time for a new thread.
Here's the link to part 1:

Feel free to share your favorite movies.
I cried all night the other night watching the Sound of Music!
But, they were good tears!
It was a walk down memory lane to a simpler time. A happier time.
Anyone else?
Shalom!

The only movie that I really like that isn't depressing is "Elf." A good movie at this time of year though.
I love sad movies. There's something cathartic about depressing movies for me. And do I know some sad flicks!
Oh, and "Philadelphia Story" that's a classic I couldn't live without. A few scenes showing the futility of drunkenness! Jimmy Stewart and Kathrine Hepburn together... it's a symphony of acting skill!

Harvey; an old classic with a very young Jimmy Stewart.
He was a drunk with an imaginary 6 foot rabbit friend.
It's hilarious, without being a bit derogatory to those with alcohol problems.
A "gotta see" film!
Shalom!

The film that always makes me feel good is Love Actually - it's so uplifting I love it.
It's so true - if you want to see happiness go to the international arrivals hall in the airport!

I tend to watch "Under the Tuscan Sun" anytime it's on TV, even though I know better - I cry every dang time. I own the dvd, too.
Also, "Bruce Almighty" and "Ever After."
