Prayers Needed for our friend LilPony
There's a few people here I hit it off with right away, one being Nevergivingup and the other is Lilpony. They are the best friends anyone could ask for. Most of you newer members won't remember her, but all of you who have been around long enough do.
She went to the doctor to have her cholesterol checked when they discovered her thyroid gland wasn't functioning properly so they did and ultra sound.....or something like that, but anyhow, they discovered 2 masses on her thyroid and told her it could be cancerous. More tests are being ran and I'll know more Monday.
However in the mean time, her spirits are low and she's worried sick.......who wouldn't be. It's easier to tell her to think positive when you're not in the situation first hand so I'm asking PLEASE keep her in your prayers. She needs all the positive energy she can get right now. Hopefully it's nothing serious, and I do believe in the power of prayer and the miracles it can work.

Please tell Lilpony that my thoughts and prayers are going out for her...and I am glad she is getting this taken care of.
The good news is, that the odds are very good it may not be cancer and the other good news is that if it is cancer, it is usually very treatable and curable without chemotherapy and radiation like other cancers.
That said, I know the fear that she must feel right now, any kind of cancer is very scary.
Maybe have her read this, it might help her not be so scared (as I know I would be)...

Please let lilpony know I am praying for her. My best friend went through the same thing, she had cancer, surgery etc, and now has been cancer free for 4 years. You are so right the power of prayer is wonderful, and she will receive a lot from us here. I will talk to some of my friends and have her added to their prayer list. The more prayers the better.
Let her know I am here for her if she needs me, and for you too.

Kris, Please let pony know I'm praying for her. Hopwfully it will just be funky noduales or goiters. I know of someone who had thyroid cancer & she is doing very very well. I have thyroid issues myself & did radioactive iodine treatment last week. Very minor thing. I could give her a website of a very good support board if she would like.

(If it helps at all, tell her I was diagnosed with the thyroid lumps, and they found out it was just benign nodules, due to a hyperactive thyroid...it all turned out okay, I toook radioactive iodine, and POOF! Thyroid all gone......hopefully, she has the same kind of thing.....)

My sister in law just went through a bout with thyroid cancer. She was able to work through almost all the treatments, even though hers was one that had been in her system for quite some time.
Today, she is cancer free... absolutely.
It is a treatable condition, Lilpony, that has some good rates of recovery.
But it is a scary thing... please know we are thinking of you and sending prayers for strength and for comfort and for peace.
Let those prayers fill you up, girl.... just fill you up!

Prayers for Lil Pony - praying that your HP will comfort you with peace as you have to wait for test results, praying for compassion from your Dr and whatever the situation may be, asking that it will be minor & easily treatable.
