Why am I the only one researching alcoholism, and not ah?
I tell my ah things and I know he doesn't listen to me, so I get information for him about alcoholism off the Internet and he doesn't even look at it.
Why am I the only one who cares?
When I have something wrong with me I read about it, research it, try to deal with it in an educated way.

... well because it's HIS to deal with.
You need to deal with your own recovery.
Pushing will make him push back.
Try some of those Alanon meetings, and work on yourself a little.

maybe b/c the first step is him realizing he has a problem. My AH won't admit like most that there is something wrong with him. He believes that he can control it...can't figure that one out since a drop of alcohol can't stay in the house overnight without him drinking it. Whatever he buys that day he drinks that day. If he could control it then maybe he could just stop before he passes out.

I did the exact same thing. I bought "under the influence" for my xab, and like your ah he never looked at it. If he bought me a book on "how to stop smoking"(im hooked on nicotine) I wouldnt read it, infact i think i would bin it, because i dont want to stop smoking YET.
Instead i read "under the influence"and learnt about his illness, and mine. The last i saw of that book it was on the window sill covered in dust, but he didnt bin it it had been there for an year.
When he decides he wants to stop, i hope that one day he will read it.

He knows that if he cracks open that book or looks at information about what alcohol is doing to his mind and body, it will ruin his fun. This is stuff he doesn't want to deal with right now, so it looks like he's not ready. Unfortunately.
