This morning my best friend called me up after cleaning her 16 year old sons bathroom. It seems she found a soda can in his bathroom garbage which was bent in half but had traces of soot or something in the bent part. Something had been burned on it. Any ideas of what that could have been?
Knowing him I think it's pot but in my days I never knew anyone to use a soda can to smoke?
I know all of you here are so wonderful, someone might be able to inlighten me.

sorry but it sounds like crack to me, bent can with tiny pin holes in the bent crease, smoked with ashes as a screen. i've done it myself. could be something else, but i have no idea.

Could be meth or crack, but it could also be pot. If he did not have papers or a pipe maybe he used the can. Marle

Sounds like weed to me. If it's meth, coke or any of those, if she goes in his room she will find traces of straws and baggies most likely.
Has she tried confronting him?

people smoke crack out of soda cans like that..it sounds like a person could also smoke meth that way.

I can remember using cans to smoke pot (in the seventies) when no papers or other pipe was around. But I have no clue about meth or crack. But I agree, he is most likely smoking something.

On Intervention last night they were showing updates.
There were these two brothers that used and were addicted together.
One was in a wheelchair.
Anyway, the one in the wheelchair used cans to smoke with.
It wasn't pot, though. I think he was addicted to meth.
I've never heard of smoking pot from a pop can.

When my son was 16, I was as dumb as a box of rocks. I had no idea what he was doing. Too wrapped up in working and making ends meet.
If only I could do things over again.......
I'm sure we all feel that way.
