What I have learned...

I am fast approaching 7 months of clean time, I must say I have not been clean for 7 months except for when I was pregnant and breast feeding.

I hated being clean back then but these days I am embracing this new found freedom.

Some days I feel crazy with the kids and all the daily life crap, but I am also so very thankful that I am here to be a mom and a wife to my family.

they are the greatest and I want to be all that they need.

I have learned that WE are not in control of ANYTHING and even if we micro manage or try to control others...it really is pointless...does not matter....we are just cruising along and the only thing we do control is our reaction to our circumstances...

our reaction...that is the point of our lives....how we react
it affects all the things in our lives...

It is amazing that an action so simple can make us or break us.

but it does.

I am not reactionary....

I do not favor my prior condition....

Peace and love,

~B

Red face

Hi smyle, thank-you for sharing what you have learned over
the months. I've read some of your previous posts, and I am sorry
for your recent loss. I agree with you about not being in control
of others. As of now I am control of my actions, maybe not the
final outcome, but I can't let that stop me from looking to the
future with plans and hope and most of all, flexability.
Its nice meeting you smyle, see you around the boards, Hope3.

Smyle that is so very true. It's sometimes hard to do, but it's the best way to go through life.

Thanks for the reminder beezy. I have a quote posted on my kitchen wall that says

My happiness in life is 10% what happens to me and 90% my reaction to those events.

It's a variation of a profound quote by Aristotle or some other great thinker that I try to remember each time I start to lose control. Sometimes I need to be reminded though since it's very easy to forget. You really do sound great.
