Hi, I'm a newbie

I have lurked here for awhile and am amazed by how strong you all are. I drink about 3 days a week (always at home) but once I get started it's hard to stop. It's usually always vodka. I lost my job, had breast cancer, was divorced and lost my best friend in the last three years and noticed it getting out of control. I can be good for several days and I notice when I get upset I want it. But then other times I feel good and want it.
Personally things have started looking up for me but I know I have a problem. I am not ready (guess I havn't bottomed out yet) to stop totally but know I need to so I am very dissapointed in myself rite now.
Just wanted to introduce myself. Take care

Stick Carol referred me to

OMG....that was really good for me to read. Very informative. I have had blackouts before and a few have been embarrassing, one in particular.

Thanks Carol
