One of those days

Hey gang,

I woke up this morning in a bad mood. I have a headache and I just feel pissed off at the world. I don't have any reason for it - it just is. I'm thinking that maybe if I do a bit of verbal vomiting it will relieve this pressure I'm feeling in my cranium. So WTF why am I so pissed off? I'm 52 days sober... is this just a mood swing? I know it will pass but dang it is so visceral I can almost taste it. I have been in bad moods before - who hasn't? LoL I'm even pissed off that I'm pissed off!

This too shall pass. Think I had better practice silence today so I don't put my foot in my mouth after stepping in the mud. ugh

...in need of some suga

Wayne Dyer suggests drinking 3 large glasses of water to get rid of a headache. It has worked for me before. Maybe a little exercise would create some seratonin that would improve your mood. Probably just a little mood swing, it will pass.

Suga please remember you can start your day over anytime you want to. lol

I found it works real well for this alkie. Just because I woke up feeling cranky and out of sorts I don't have to give in to it and be that way all day. roflmao.

Here's hoping you start your day over.

Love and hugs,

Suga, I hope you are able to keep remembering that the day will be over eventually. It's only a day and tomorrow will surely be better. Maybe the evening will even be better than the morning.
I'm thinking about you, and hopefully you are receiving lots of positive energy through the internet.

Hey suga,
A nice cup of hot chocholate might help. IHOMERSIMPSON's picture made me chuckle a bit...... Hey, at least you're sober!! 52 days is a great accomplishment, and you can be proud of yourself for that. Life isn't always going to be perfect, but it's always better sober. You'll get through, and tommorow is another day.
peace,
chip

When I call my sponsor in a mood, he instructs me to go outside (now, we live in Phoenix, so it's usually always a nice warm day), look up at the sky, and say the Serenity Prayer over and over.

It works for me...

This too shall pass... remember that.

and be kind to yourself -- give yourself some suga', suga!!!!

Thank you everyone...

I'm feeling better. I got out of the house - out of my own head - and am feeling much much better. Went to a noon meeting and the topic was "...and the wisdom to know the difference." It was good timing for me.

IMHomer that picture is awesome... most definately forced a smile on my crabby mug. hehe Thank you!

Not to mention my cup of hot cocoa fix. Thanks Chip for the inspiration. LoL Chocolate... mmm...

You guys are wonderful,

Suga

Hi Sugs! Better today? I've had days like those (and remember you and I are one(?) day apart in our sobriety), and although they make NO sense most of the time, they make me appreciate the good days when I want to HUG he world instead of screaming at them!

Are your boots clean from stomping in the mud? Not a bad idea, actually, and THEN go get a spa treatment. Don't they use mud?

Hugs,

Hiya Daddysgirl!!!

We are very close together... my date is November 28, 2005 and I think you told me yours is the 29th? So we're practically twins! SOBERTWIN power ACTIVATE!

I am indeed feeling much much better today. Just got back from a meeting and then stopped at a soup n' sammich place for lunch. Chatted with a bunch of people and socialized. It really is good for the soul to GET OUT as often as I can so I don't hermit myself. I'm soooo glad you are doing well, Daddysgirl. I can't wait until we hit 60! And then 90! And then 1 year! I could go on and on and on... but TODAY is what is important. Right? Tomorrow will come soon enough.

**{hugs}} thank you for thinking of me,

Suga

Hi there Miss Sensational Sugarsnaps ! LOL

I just wanted to share with you , a hint that an older sober member gave me which helped me enormously.

I cut my "just for today" card up, and put it in a bowl, each morning I picked out a piece and focused on just that one thing. Corny , but it worked, and still does , for me

Keep doing what you are doing ! ect

HUGX
