good sobriety method

get your wisdom teeth pulled if you have 'em

I couldn't smoke cigs and weed or drink for 5 days

I'm on day 8 of no cigs, weed, or alcohol and am feeling just fine

it's really weird

Do that long enough, you'll look like the front row of A Charlie Daniels concert

Maybe that's the answer. Every time I feel like drinking, get a tooth pulled. Then, work my way down. Fingers by the knuckle, etc. I'm going to draw the line when I reach my belt though.....

Good for you Kev. If it works, go with it.

When I had mine out, I used a straw to keep drinking, packed my mouth with cotton so I could smoke, and of course old reliable, snorting.

Your plan sounds better.

Congrats on 8 days...well 11 now!!! I just had to share something with you. I had one of my molars pulled last December, I had already quit drinking, so that wasn't a problem....but I kept smoking, and I got a dry socket! OH MY GOD! That was the worst pain I have ever had, worse than my C- section! It took 2 weeks for it to grow over, and all I could do was lay in bed and cry.( and go to the dentist every couple days and have it packed) Now that was a way to abstain...but I wouldn't recomend it! LOL Good luck on your journey! punkinpie
