Xern, congratulations on 16 days of sobriety. Well done. I think confronting your patterns is going to help you to get and stay sober. You can be the person you want to be and posting here will be helpful to you.

Congratulations Xern. Once it becomes obvious there can be no stopping you.

Keep on trucking and you'll have months of sobriety. I know people don't like to hear this but I truly hope you're getting sober for YOU first. Myself included, so many of us got sober to save someone or something in our lives, and if by chance, that someone or something let's go of US during our early sobriety, WE tend to let go of our sobriety. You deserve a good life.

I agree with getting sober for you but you also have a great secondary reason. The relationship. Go for it.

100% it was for me first. Especially seeing patterns of exact behavior. I'm almost at a month now and feeling great. Ive only had a couple times where I thought about drinking and I forced myself to sit with the feeling and think ahead of how Id feel if I allowed it to happen and how disappointed Id be the next day because it wouldn't be worth it AT ALL.. nothing about it would be beneficial.
SO.. just keeping on the path Im on😀
