Hope you are feeling better soon Jase, although I'm not sure there were any rumors as such around here - just concern about your plan to drink. How did that work out by the way?

Hey dude. Be safe, look after yourself, eat well etc. I went to counselling which did me the world of good, i had to ignore the ones who said they wouldn't take me on whilst i was drinking and ended up with a great guy who really took me forward into sobriety. I checked out AA meetings for support, no need to talk too much though which suited me as i like listening. I had to take myself out of my comfort zone, which i hated doing but it was worth it. Above all else i had to make sure that i didn't take knock backs or other peoples disapprovals as personal, as i have a very think skin, as everyone is fighting and struggling against their own demons no matter how well they speak or sound. Hey Guys
Imma back (sorry!). Missed y'all (lol love that Southern American expression!).

A few of you have asked how my experiment went and I don't wanna lie to you so I have to say it went well. I had my 3 goodbye beers on Monday and for me it was cathartic. I suppose like a funeral can help people say goodbye to a loved one. I feel stronger now and been sober since and aim to continue. Btw I'm not suggesting people should do what I did, I just think for me it was a good thing. Also I really, really do appreciate your kindness and concern for me. Me being sick wasn't drinking related either - I have low white blood cell count since birth and regularly pick up infections.

Anyway best wishes to everyone staying sober and see you all (I mean 'y'all!') around the forum .
