10 months!
10 months today. I took one of the hardest journeys someone can take. Accepting I was not in control, and flew to a rehab facility in Utah. Unfortunately, I have talked to a few of my comrades there, who have since fell off the wagon and started drinking again. It truly shows the amount of control this **** has on you. I will always be an alcoholic, and will always be in recovery from alcohol. I can’t predict the future, but I can say...”I’m not drinking today.”
For those battling...keep taking it one day at a time and remember, you never “got this”. Some days will be far worse than others, but as long as you remain sober...you will have many more good days.

And thank you for your wise words.
I've been sober over eleven years, and I'm still an alcoholic. Always will be. Thanks for that reminder. Sometimes I forget.
I'm not drinking today, either.
Keep it up. One day at a time.
Congratulations on 10 months and making the most out of your rehab opportunity.
It's sad that some of your peers didn't find lasting sobriety after spending significant time and money on a rehab facility. Hopefully they will find a way to lasting sobriety.

That’s great! Congratulations! I am approaching one year myself in 9 days. I did go to a 30 day rehab a year ago and it did change my life. There is no looking back for me and it’s amazing how all aspects of my life has positively changed. I now look forward to every day, including Mondays, which was always a hard day after a weekend of drinking. I am so happy I closed the chapter on drinking...
