My current status

Things haven't been easy but they have been heaps better since ceasing drinking.

I have been on naltrexone and campral for a number of months...which helps immeasurably.

My liver function has pretty much returned to as normal as it will get, which is also good.

I am active in working a program of recovery that suits me, which consists of:

Outpatient treatment x 2 per week

AA and active participation in it.

Report to probation when and if required.

Twisted my knee out walking the other day, heads been doing a bit of a number on me cos I cant train or cycle, I burn off steam that way and I miss it.

Still gratefully sober however.

Van

I'm glad your sober too. Good for you for hanging in there and doing what it takes.

Good going, Vandermast. Those health issues can be vexing, I've had to stop my daily walking this summer after some nagging foot and toe issues, has made me very antsy and a little down at times, to not have that release that exercise provides.

Glad you shared!

I too have been benched for awhile now. I hurt my back in Mar and am still recovering. I was very fit and a hardcore hot yoga person after transitioning from more running, and it has been as tough on me emotionally as physically.

Keep sober, keep going, and take good care.

Great work vandermast, sounds like you have a solid plan in place and I'm glad it's working for you. Things will definitely improve over time too, thanks for checking in and don't forget SR is always here if you need extra support.
