What up?
Hello all. I haven't posted here since 1-4-18; everything is fine and I am at 506 days sober.
Between church, AA, work, school, and everything else I haven't had much free time.
When I used to drink I always thought that if I quit drinking my life would be boring. Looking back drinking was boring - I never did anything but work and drink and I was either drunk or hungover while planning my next drunk.
Life is good!!!

Hey Doug good to hear from you again. I'm glad to hear that your keeping on keeping on about not drinking. I myself just hit my one year drop free March 5th. Stay in touch.
Awesome on the 506!

I like this thought! I used to think the same way when I was drinking. Thanks.
Thanks for checking in and glad to hear things are going well Doug. Congrats on 500 days, that is a big milestone for sure. We'd love to hear any other successes or tips you've learned along the way, don't be a stranger :-)

Hey there, the religious angle works for me too. I like my rituals and fellowship. I wanted to be "saved" when I was a teenager then did not do anything much spiritual until my 40's, other than respect other people's beliefs. But religion works wonders for my recovery. It's not about me, it's about something that is bigger than us. I am Catholic but it does not really matter. There is always the good Hindu or Buddhist, keep an open mind. Take a motorcycle ride to a mountain top and look at the clouds.
