He was somewhat of a rescue, you don't see it in the picture, but his jaw bone was expose on the other side of his face. That was due to rubbing against the glass in his small pet shop enclosure. It required constant attention and unfortunately, after I got back home from the hostpital, infection had set in. Eventualy he stopped eating because of the pain and started waisting so I had him put to sleep.
Saoutchik, since you mentioned the Titanic. Reminded me of folks (me included!) getting sober and just switching to another addiction: Changing chairs on the Titanic.
The recovery I enjoy in every area of my life wasn't achieved overnight!
Booze: 13 Oct 1986
Bulimia: 1 Jan 2002
Overall food sobriety: 28 Nov 2005
And I haven't been severely depressed or suicidal since summer of 2005.
It all started by getting on the Sober Bus!!

Aww! That's sad about your Water Dragon.
Time2 my Avatar name comes from coachbuilder Jacques Saoutchik who built some beautiful cars in his Paris factory. I was briefly a panel beater (auto body shop) myself and have always been interested in it.
This Bucciali dates all the way from 1930 but still looks good.
