Almost a Month
Been a long haul for sure. Now I know what time the sun comes up and spend time with my wife before work. Had to plan a new route home to not pass my local liquor store. Between 10 and 11:30pm i grt the urge and I feel like my body wants tibstretch but can’t, like being in the back seat of a car for a long car ride. I slowly drop a few tears and my wife gives me words of praise for my decision. Todays my 36th birthday. MY first birthday since 18 that I will remember tonight. I raise my cup of coffe to all tonight.

Congrats and happy birthday!
I'm just around the corner to 8 months sober and I can say things will get way better all around in time. You must keep a positive attitude and do some self affirmation day to day on your personal progress. Almost a month is a month sober in my book, keep up the good work and now move on to your second month of success. Also stick close to this forum, it is packed with good non-judgmental advice.

Stcik with it and next year you'll get 2 birthdays. One in October and one in November. If you're anything like me your sober birthday will seem even more special than the other one.
Do you go to meetings with chips? If not, perhaps find one and collect your month chip.
