Need some advice!

Hey guys! I came in here a while ago asking for some help because my drinking got out of control. Well I decided to do IOP, and I really enjoy it. I stopped drinking three days ago and haven't had any WD symptoms. Does this mean I'm out of the clear, or will they hit me like a ton of bricks soon?! Thanks so much!

Congratulations on your sobriety.
Everyone is different. I hope you will continue to feel well and very glad you are not drinking.

So awesome that you made the decision! Everyone truly is different. My experience was that it was easy for me to "just say no". My husband battles with a completely different demon. He wants to quit (he says), but I can't remember the last 24 hours he went without a drink. Keep up the great work and just remember that if a ton of bricks falls on you to just dig yourself out! It's worth it!!!!

I'm glad you're doing well.

No one can really predict withdrawals, but it might be something to discuss at IOP.

Hi nagem. I agree that everyone's very different. Speaking only for myself, at 3 days I felt much better & continued to improve. I'm really glad you're having success with IOP.

Thanks so much everyone! we actually had this discussion in IOP. They answers were weird with WD. Everyone was saying they were gone in 3-7 days, but yet I haven't had any yet?!

Like several people have said we're all different nagem - even in my experience over 20 years I had wildly different experiences with withdrawal.

Some times I felt very very ill indeed, and other times no discernible after effects at ll.
