8 weeks... bought me some new swag!

Longest ever before was 4 weeks. So this is a big deal! Finally spent some money on myself and scored some new cycling stuff, mostly winter riding gear. For those that are involved in active sports - you know nothing is cheap!

My wife doesn't say anything. She knows I could always be into motorcycles or race cars!

Congrats on 8 weeks! That is huge! I definitely shop a lot more since I got sober, both for regular clothes and running/snowboarding gear. One of the countless perks of not wasting money on alcohol

If I did my math right, I still only spent about half what I saved by not drinking!

I'm a trail runner, so I just spent some cash on gear as well.
Gonna look good out there, and be warm and wicking sweat at the same time

Well done on your sobriety Steve--enjoy your new gear.

Good job on 8 weeks! Regardless of money saved, I think it's good for morale to spoil yourself a bit on giving up the drinking. For me, all the money I saved on drinking went to food. Lots and lots of food.

Great job on 8 weeks, amigo.

I have been buying a fair amount of running gear, including a new pair of Saucony Grid Hurricanes last week.
