Sober Mondays
It's 6.50am in the uk I have woke up fresh and anxiety free after 7 hours sleep.I have just enjoyed my breakfast and my morning coffee is not to sober up.MY morning shower was to cleanse me externally and not internally as before. I have no worries about who I upset or my behaviours yesterday I have no fear of what today will bring .over the weekend I have been at two concerts and enjoyed both of them sober I have spent time with my family and the illness is not hanging from the curtains. The drive to work will not be filled with fear of police or the chance to be charged without drunk driving. I will go to work and continue to be consistent and look others I the eye. This is the complete opposite to days waking up still drunk and full of fear take care and happy Halloween

This is awesome. I am newly sober (again) and I still have some anxieties to deal with but I get better everyday.
I can identify with this post - this was similar to my life when I was drinking.
Thanks for the great post and reminder Baxibermuda. I too remember the horrors of Monday morning and how I dreaded them when I was still drinking. It's truly a gift to be able to get up and face the week with a fighting chance!
