The big 3-0
The big 3-0
Today I hit 30 days sober!! I feel soo much better than I did when i checked in two weeks ago. No more digestive issues, no more bloating, skin is back to normal. I actually feel healthy!
I had a dream that I drank a fifth of Jager.... I woke up so upset and disappointed. Was so relieved when i realized it was a dream.
Wish you ALL the best on your recovery journeys!!! And a big thank you for being here during mine ❤❤❤

Congrats on 30 days! Yeah, those drinking dreams can be really intense. One thing I've noticed, though, is that they are never ever pleasant. Every single one of them I've had was filled with anxiety, fear, remorse, and torment. It sometimes takes several minutes of waking up to understand that it really was all a nightmare.
Congrats, ElleSki! I'm at around 7 months and still have the occasional drunk dream. Waking up and realizing I'm sober and didn't really drink is like waking up on a school day and seeing a foot of snow outside (I'm a teacher -- we like snow days just as much as students )
Happy first month!
Happy first month!
That's a fantastic outlook to have, because you are right...addiction can rear it's head at the most inopportune moments. And sleeping well makes a world of difference, the insomnia of withdrawals was something I'll never forget!
