30 years this past Saturday
Saturday was my 30th sobriety anniversary.
My wife and I had a big football party (we do this every year), and this year it also served as my sobriety anniversary party.
We had people in from all over the southeast.
I told everyone, most of whom are "earth people", that I credit God and AA, in that order, for my sobriety.
It was quite a treat.
I have enjoyed spending the last 6 of those years with you wonderful people of SR.
Now, back to work on staying sober today.

Congrats on 30 years SoberCAH!!!
I'm very grateful to have access you your wisdom and experience on a daily basis. It has made a big difference in my sobriety to have "oldtimers" like you and Mike (Gottalife) around!

SoberCAH- wow, what a profound post. Simply put- without fanfare or fireworks..it just is. THAT is what this is all about. The point of sharing a social gathering, with simple respect, shows a grace many of us aspire to.
Inspirational, thank you.
Inspirational, thank you.
Happy anniversary SoberCAH. God and AA get the credit for me too. And it is great to see you holding up your end of the bargain. It is never a surprise that alcoholics who do what you do get to stay sober and have a cool life.
That is huge. An amazing accomplishment and I'm glad you're here. If I have one criticism of SR is that I've noticed that people seem to disappear after awhile, so it's difficult for people to get a feeling of what long term sobriety looks like.

30 years qualifies as a good start, SoberCAH. I think, if you continue to really work at it, you have a chance to make this sobriety thing work.
Just kidding! Congratulations! That is an amazing accomplishment!
