Some days you're the hammer, some days you're the nail
Definitely the nail for the past few days. Work. Home. Some days it just feels like nothing is going right and it doesn't matter what I do... it is wrong either way. My attitude has certainly been reflecting it too and I just want to crawl under a rock somewhere until this passes.
It seems that, at any given point, something can pop up out of nowhere to remind you of everything that you tried to forget about with alcohol.

I've had one of those days too...fighting with the boss, kids being kids, unexpected expenses...blah. I'm glad you came here instead of drinking. I take solace in knowing that I can deal with it all far better sober than hiding in a beer can.

Some days you're the bug and some days you're the windshield. I play a lot of poker and for me life is kinda like how poker is. Sometimes it doesn't matter what you do you win, and sometimes it doesn't matter what you do you lose. But if you keep doing the right thing over and over you will always come out a winner in the long run.

Thanks for your replies. As silly as it sounds, sometimes it really does help to hear that everyone has bad days.
I made it through the night and back at work now so I am going to suck it up and try to have a better day.
