2 years sober
2 years sober
Hello folks. I just wanted to say thank you all for being here and sharing. A little over 2 years ago I awoke to the knowledge of knowing I could never drink again. I was physically ill. I was emotionally bankrupt. I was severely neglecting a business ive worked so hard to build and maintain. And worse of all, I was suicidal. It seemed like the best option. I hated life. I had prayed to god for relief from alcoholism for about 3 years. He answered my prayers. I knew that mourning on feb 22 that I would never have to drink again. It is a one day at a time for me. But thats ok. Im happy with that. I thank god each and every day for this new life. I've been a drunk for 30 years. Its truly a miracle.
This forum and the people here are priceless to me. Ive learned so much on how to live and conduct my daily life here. I read more than I respond to here. I usually emphasize the deadly aspects of drinking because thats how bad it was getting for me. This insidious disease will rob you and fool you to your grave. Thats my belief.
Life is so much better. I could write for hours telling you the changes in my life over the last 24 mouths. Its amazing folks. Im dumbfounded by it. Brings tears to my eyes.
Thank you all for this forum. Thank you all for letting me be here!
