Wow!!! Over a year.
I remember telling everyone I was gonna quit drinking on New Years eve, 2013. Well I DID IT. So it's been a little over a year now and I have payed up some bills. I have a great van ministry at my church. Moved up the work ladder. have learned to deal with life without drinking. Just one little thing now. Since I am home now (not out running around) I noticed something not right with my wife. So I asked her about it and she said that now since I am home with the family she doesn't know how to handle it. Even after a whole year. Damned if I do and damned if I don't. But hey, I must have been some @$$hole. Just gonna keep loving em.

Congrats!!!!
Not sure how long you were drinking for, but from what I hear it may take some time for the Mrs to get used to the "new normal." I've heard some people talk about their wives having "Nightingale syndrome." Sometimes a spouse spends so much time being "the good one" and trying to help/fix their partner that when their spouse becomes sober, they aren't sure what their new role is. I've only been sober a little over a week and I see some flashes of that at home. Even though I have things (at least for now) under control, my wife regularly "checks in on me" to see if I'm doing what I'm supposed to be doing.
I would say, as far as home life, be grateful that you have a family that seemingly will stick with you no matter what.
Good luck and God bless.

congrats on the 1 year. I've also had the ups and downs with my wife as well. she complains I'm not the same person she married and that its now hard for her to get used to me as I'm a totally different person etc.. I guess while its a good thing its still a bid adjustment for everyone.
