Can Anyone Please Help?

I've relocated to the Waynesboro, Virginia area since last being active on the forum.

I was sober 7 months and relapsed. This was months ago and I've been struggling ever since. Lately it has gotten quite bad...

I was a member of AA for quite some time over the past several years. I know how it works. I need a meeting very badly right now. I don't know where there are any in this area, I checked online. I don't have a ride or car right now either.

Please, if anyone has any meeting info or can just help, I'd appreciate it. I was in the hospital yesterday already. Someone called an ambulance on me. The hospital did nothing for me. They let me lay there for hours and didn't bother checking my vitals, after the initial "High Blood Pressure" diagnosis was given.

Nobody here understands detox from alcohol. I need a meeting really badly. Please, if there is anyone available, PM me.

there is one tonight:

8:00 PM
WAYNESBORO GROUP
St. John Episcopal Church
Wayne Ave. & Thirteenth St.
Waynesboro, 22980

I bet if you call the local chapter you can get a ride.

Where in Oklahoma are you from?

I am not actually from Oklahoma, I just lived there for several years. I am from Southern California originally.

I saw that same info online that you posted and could not find a phone number.

all I saw was a bunch of email addresses. I would try that. Or just take a cab or get a ride to the meeting that is tonight.

Call the Staunton group. They are the closest and can probably help you. If not them, try Charlottesville.

SG, I wish you would let us know how you're doing or if you found a meeting. I want to say something and please don't take offense. I'm not religious at all but one thing I know is that though church members or pastors may not understand detox what they do know is love. I would venture to say that pastors in particular do know about detox just by the nature of what congregation members may battle. I'm an old Navy gal and we have a saying... "Any port in a storm." I think it applies here. Truthfully, I don't know why some AA stuff posted online isn't attended better. I've called with no answering and emailed without any response before finding SR. One that never responds is SIS (Seniors in Sobriety) and they're just up the road from me. Sheesh. Back in the day when I first contacted AA there was AA Central to call and they always answered sending someone out to your house if needed and, trust me, I needed. Anyway, I know that churches will send someone to take you to a meeting. They give space in their churches as meeting places free of cost because they care.
