Sober christmas all round
I thought my first sober Christmas, 2 years ago would be hard, but I ended up preferring being alert all day, instead of going into a food/alcohol coma in the heat.
It was enjoyable in 2013 too and once again I ended the day feeling healthy and bright.
This year my DIL is pregnant and not drinking, my son may have had 2 beers max, my daughter 1, and that was all the drinking done amongst 10 guests. Times have changed from a few years ago when we all drank plenty. I'm not saying for certain, but I hope my example had an influence.
I was proud of my family.
Merry Christmas to everyone at SR. Stay positive and sober, and you won't regret it.
