hello
So i have been 25 days sober today. I finally talked to my dr and got put into a program. Its been going alright except i have been sick for 25 days. Not withdrawal sick but sick sick. Every time I have quit before I have gotten sick. Now it started as a lil cough now its gotten worse almost flu like instead of better. Is it normal for your immune system to be all out of wack?
It's certainly a big change for your body to stop drinking. And it takes time to get better. Getting sick doesn't help of course. Did your DR say anything about the sickness ( aside from the treatment program )?

Thanks yall, i went to the dr last week and they gave me inhalers that just made me worse so i've just been sleeping alot, today i actually feel better. My outpatient group tonight was good we did a lil checklist thing which was well timed cuz this weekend i was thinking "man you dont drink that much" "it wasn't that bad" etc etc and tonight was kinda like a refresher/wakebackup call. Even though i have been sick i still feel a shitload better than I did when I was boozin.
