Passed My First "Test"
So, yesterday my best friend invites me too dinner: Buffalo Wild Wings. Now, normally we go there and, of course, drink until we are both silly drunk. I told her, "Ok. However, I am just having ice tea." She didn't bat an eyelash and said, "Ok."
So we get there, sit down, and I followed through. NO BEER. I just ordered an ice tea, had some wings, and was out the door. I did think about beer when I first got there, however that only lasted a few minutes and I completely forgot about drinking alcohol.
I sure as heck hope I will be able to keep up the strong front. It felt good actually walking out of there; and not stumbling out of there.

One of the first things I noticed after getting sober was most people drink responsibly and when I say, "No, thank you" very few care.
