found a way to move out of my parents house

So my good friend called me and asked me if I would be willing to help his sister out she needs someone to stay with her at night and help her in the shower and to the bathroom and cook her meals for her. He said I could live with him rent free, and wouldn't have to pay for food at all. All I would have to do is take care of his sister. I could continue to work at my job during the daytime someone would be checking on her during the daytime. His sister has only one leg and is in a wheelchair and elderly. Im meeting with him to discuss it further this evening. Wish me luck in doing this. say a prayer because after this I have to talk to my parents and I know there is going to be a lot of yelling and screaming involved unless I invite god in. IM EXCITED TO MOVE OUT AND FINALLY BE AN ADULT. Im almost 30 I should be moved out by now and making my own decisions. Im dreading talking to my parents so please say a prayer for me that it goes well

Update on my grandma she is doing better and is in a rehabilitative facility to gain back her strength and do physical therapy.

I agree that you need your independence Anoronha

Think about this offer tho - being a carer is a *big* responsibility...and there's no time off.

If you're ok with that, then fine

Sounds like a great opportunity. Don't let your parents bring you down. It's great to see a post beaming with excitement and hope.

I am praying for you!

I think Dee brings up an interesting thought though--maybe give some thought as to whether there will be some "days off"--even if it means you have to hire someone else to be the caregiver. Being a caregiver can become draining and you don't want to burn out.
