I spent all my money on alcohol too. I was a bar drinker who wanted everyone to drink as much as I did so I was constantly buying rounds and rounds of shots for people. I also used it as a way to start talking to strangers, as I was usually by myself at the bar. A good night for me would have been spending less than $150. I'm in credit card debt because of it.
But the good news is is that now that I don't drink I can catch up on my bills and I no longer wake up with regret and panic about how I can survive until my next paycheck.

I not only spent all my cash, I sold and pawned everything of value I owned for booze.
So you're not alone there. It's been over three years since I quit drinking, and still can't used to having money in my pocket. I like it, though.
