Had a brief stint of sobriety then hit it hard for a few weeks, months? Dunno, lot of time is a blur. I've had some good weeks and some bad, but generally my time, money, memory, mind down the toilet. Stone cold sober tonight, cant remember the last time I was.

Feels good but my stomach is still sick from drinking last night, I did things I regret, missed work. Just generally unimpressed with myself. Oh well, its time to pick myself up off the floor.

The first few days are going to be rough. Get through it and you have the rest of your life to be free.

Really feel for you, like many good pholk on SR I have been where you are and it ain't pretty I know, but just hang tough and see this through one day at a time.
I think too many people look too far ahead into the journey they intend to go on, I just look at today, take care of it and then tomorrow will take care of itself.

But this is just the begging,... you could loose your job to begin with!
We all have falls but you have to take action now that you are sober!
Go get some help of meetings, doctors,...
I tried all really but it is really you who has to change mentality,
that is no taking you anywhere!
when you realize that you have a progressive illness
and you can not have ONE as it is never enough!
So accept it as soon as possible that you have to stay away like an allergy.
