Got some good news today
So, just before and just after Christmas I went and had a bunch of medical tests done. I had been putting it off and putting it off until my mum got diagnosed with Poly-cystic Kidney Disease before Christmas, and seeing as it is genetic I thought I'd get tested for that and other alcohol-related diseases while I was at it.
I got the all clear today. Every organ that they tested was functioning normally, and not a cyst to be seen on my kidneys. PHEW! I was convinced (to the point of hypochondria, where I would just think of a symptom and it would magically appear and then spend hours and hours with Dr Google) that I had completely ruined every vital organ in my body from excessive drinking all those years.
The only thing I'm waiting on now is an endoscopy to check out the inside of my stomach as I am having genuine (not imagined) digestive problems.
I feel so relieved. I just want to hug my own liver. Is that weird? Lol.

Great News RocketQueen! You might want to talk your Dr about taking Pro Biotics for your digestive issues. They really help me.
If you have taken Anti Biotics, recently, they can kill the good bacteria in your system. Pro Biotics will help restore them.

That is great news! I was extremely nervous going into the doctor and also had good news. Hopefully others like us (people who read symptoms online and then self-diagnose) on SR read posts like this and just get a check up with the doctor!
