Sober a Year
Sober a Year
Well today marks a year and one day since picking up my last drink. Given 6 weeks was my previous best in 25 years I guess the formula I use works for me right now, one day at a time. 12 months of getting through life events sometimes wanting but never taking a drink, finding my life views changing and spiritual base firming as I try to apply basic principles on a daily basis. All part of a journey that ends when I take my last breath.
Sober Recovery has been an integral part of my recovery over the last 10 months or so. Without your collective advice, support, shared stories and the opportunity to reach out to complete strangers whom are fellow suffering addicts through this forum I think the last year would have been much harder.
Thanks to all and I'll keep coming back.
