I need to know how do I find a sponcer when the AA group doesnt have any women with any significant time amd that is willing to sponcer. Is it ok to ask a former sponcer who u havent spoke with in years. In my past years in AA i wasnt serious in working the program, but now i am ready and willing.

Oklahoma has some lovely AA. Where abouts in the state are you?

Can you try some new local meetings? I found some didn't have many women who attended yet one down the road had lots!

if you are comfortable sharing your issues and past with oppsoite sex dont let that stop you from getting a sponsor.

I chose the person that "I wanted what they had" and asked.

Try heading north to OKC...you're sure to find someone there. I was at a lovely conference there last October.

I live in a remote part of Texas and a point in time came for me where I had to broaden my horizons for a sponsor. Took some searching but eventually the teacher showed up...the cool part...I was safe and protected anyway along the way.
