So I just signed into SR and began to read and I thought..."I should get a glass of wine to enjoy while I am online." Wow! Wine is SUCH a habit for me on a Sunday evening. I didnt do it, of course, but it made me realize that being on my pc is a definite trigger. Time to go for a walk or get some new habits : )

22jennifer, i do the same thing with beer or vodka and look at my favorite sights. now i have music on and reading in here

I still have those thoughts too somtimes. Change is possible but not automatic.

Change of habits do take a bit of time...we are accustomed to a certain level of ceremony and circumstance with drink in hand. It's like the sound of the cork coming out, the clink of ice in tumbler or the snap of the pretzel bag opening just before watching a favourite TV show or whatnot. It takes time for the brain to process new habits, but it's certainly fun in trying to find new ones out!

If I stopped doing this that I did while drinking I would do nothing. Only thing I never did while drinking was SkyDyving! LOL!
