It goes away when you stop drinking and stay stopped.

For me it was around week 5 that I started to notice the bloating fade. I drank a lot of water though... which meant a lot of peeing. I buy fresh lemons and cut a nice thick slice, squeeze it into a glass and pour cold bottled water into that glass throughout the day. When I don't taste the lemon, I get another thick slice.

Good luck. I am on week 9 of sobriety and feel great. I've started making smoothies with vege's and fruit - talk about peeing! OMGosh. I had no idea smoothies made ya pee so much.

How many times can I write pee in this post? Ha! Ha!

Just so happens as I write this I am enjoying a skim milk, strawberry, spinach, chocolate soy protein powder shake... yummy. I know spinach sounds gross in a smoothie, but you don't taste it and oh man, the nutrition is incredible.

Good luck!

I believe that beer can cause bloating too. As has been said, it should go away when you stop drinking alcohol .

mmmmm Tammy...smoooooothies.... My little guy is 8 and still eats like a bird so pack a lot into his smoothie for him to drink on the way to school. I am a big fan.

Bloating? I guess I have just thought my face got a little fuller over the years. I always had a narrow face and high cheekbones....would love to get them back. Today is Day 2 so I guess I'll see if I get to enjoy the return of my bone structure LOL. WOW. That would be a great fringe benefit.

With me vanished after 3 weeks. I used to have a hobo face, truly disgusting, red and bloated.
