My 1st 30

That's right.. through the love and support of my family, posting and reading on these forums and the guidance of the AA 12 Step program & meetings I have my first month sober since I began drinking at the age of 18.

Five weeks ago I was hospitalized due to my excessive alcohol consumption (12 to 24 beers throughout the day and Scotch on weekends) and today I am running in the mornings, weight training in the evening, eating healthy and once again savoring life's little enjoyments that alcoholism has prevented me from doing the last ten years.

So thank you, SR community for your great support and inspiration.

I remember hitting 30 days....I couldn't believe it....15 months later....I believe it. Congrats....Keep moving forward!
