Yip

Just lonely. Though I do enjoy the rain. It is quiet here, in my apartment on the corner. I have much to occupy my mind but I prefer to simply sit. I used to spend most of time in thought; there seemed to always be something worth pondering, even if it held no pertinence to the present. Things change. It is the only constant.
I can remember being younger; a breeze blowing, I would climb to the top of a Hickory Tree and sway. Scanning the horizon I could see for a mile, over the tops of millions of other trees, the hills rolling in the distance.
I hope everyone is doing well. I am pleased with the day.

hooray. Yeah same here, living is well enough when there is living worth doing. Just another ode to your ponderance.

Still sober, another day passes with much less of a care.

I hope all of yours have been the same.

Drinking I used to brood; Now that I'm sober, I ponder. I like the difference.

I totally agree with you Carl. I would say pondering is definitely an improvement on brooding.

Isn't it great in sobriety to have your head, your heart, your body and your soul all in the same place at the same time.... and not spinning !!
First time I experienced "serenity" I thought I had gone crazy... takes a little getting used to.
Thanks for posting, boiledrootbeer, sometimes I forget just how good it really is.
