Can you be fine and then get physical withdrawal 10 days out?

So I am on day 3 now, feel great. Not really unusual for me, the last yearor so I haven't been drinking every day, more like every other day/2 or 3 times a week, etc. Been taking more breaks. Not unusual at all for me to go 3-5 days dry, then binge on a weekend or something for a few days. Last month I had a 10 (ish?) day stretch just from being busy at work/with kids, worrying about my health and then having a nasty stomach flu go through our house. Never have noticed any physical withdrawal type symptoms. Yet, i live in total complete fear of them!!! Especially after reading so much about people having strokes/seizures/dying from bad withdrawal, etc. And then after Amy Winehouse died all kinds of doctors were on TV saying she could have died from withdrawal after 3 weeks sober. That is actually the reason I drank again after that 10 day stretch, i started getting nervous that maybe I was in withdrawal even if I had no physical symptoms and what if I like, had a seizure out of nowhere or something? Dumb, I know, LOL!

So anyway, if you were headed down that road, would you know it? Would you be having some sort of physical symptoms and would they be obvious enough you would know you needed a doctor or something? Or can you feel great, fine, and then like after 2 weeks/3 weeks/ a month have a major physical withdrawal issue? (And if you were having it would you know?!)

Thanks!

You are probably fine. If you start to feel weird, go to the ER. LOL, you were not kidding when you said you were hypochondriac. I understand. Just in the last year have I learned about the dangers of withdrawal and I believe it has made my withdrawals worse cuz I am so scared I would have a seizure or something.

LOL yeah I am a hypochondriac in the worst way!! So I would know something was not right in enough time to go to the dr? Does that happen to people? They are fine for the first few days or weeks and then get withdrawals?

You are asking questions you once again, should be asking your doctor. I can honestly say I have never heard of anyone being fine for 3 days then going into withdrawal but I am not a doctor. So ask your own doctor for your peace of mind and stop asking people you don't know on a forum health questions because you have no idea whom you are talking to, whether or not they are telling the truth or what their other variables were (drugs, other health problems etc)

Amy Winehouse died from having a Bac 5 times the legal limit, not from withdrawal.

You should tall to a doctor but also consider you are looking for reasons not to stay sober
