This is interesting. There are actually several mammals that will seek out fermenting fruit to get that nice buzz. We aren't the only ones that like getting loaded, it's just that we can make it ourselves. I imagine this is how humans first got the idea to brew the stuff, though.

My parents have a house on an orchard and there were drunk (on 'cider' I suppose) wasps all the time staggering and lurching about - or whatever the equivalent is for flying.
