Help in Spanish
My partner does not speak English, I need some help in finding a legit translation of explaining what alcoholism is, disease, The fact that I am trying but unable to succeed, and what she can do to support me.
My main issues are she knows I drink when I'm stressed, ans so ,ore effort not to create stress for me might help.
Just something so she can understand the severity of what I'm going through and how difficult it is.
If someone would help I wold greatly appreciate it.

Here you go, the AA Big Book in spanish on line, a good read for her to start to get an 'idea':
El Libro Grande en Linea - Contenido
Hope that helps.

Hello,
As indebted as I am to this site, I think it could do well to go more lax on the English-only rule. There are recovery items in Spanish all over the net; how good is your espanol?
Also, if you live in a city of a strong Latino population, why not look to them for support? I live in a fairly White-Asian community, but I know our local AA chapter has meetings in Spanish and resources available. Don't be afraid to ask around. Churches, AA groups, social worker organizations, etc. Most these people will be more than more than happy to give you good direction for your partner.
Don't ever be ashamed to ask! Ask everyone. People in the business of recovery do not even register shame. If you come to them, they'll want to help you the best they can.

nice thought but right now I am even avoiding my 2 year old daughter, even my dogs are making me paranoid. My girl is under strict instruction to tell everyon who asks for that I am not living here anymore. I just don't have any confidence at all, the fear has taken over completely.
